Frank Battista
Frank Battista received his B.M. in Percussion Performance and Music Education from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, where he has recently completed his M.A. in Music Education. Mr. Battista has also studied at The Julliard School of Music's summer percussion seminar.
Mr. Battista teaches instrumental music, music theory and jazz ensemble at the high school level for the Huntington UFSD on Long Island. For four years he has directed percussion for the award winning Huntington Blue Devil Marching Band and is now a co-director of the program.

Mr. Battista has taught the Percussion Methods class at Queens College and was director of the CPSM Wind Ensemble from 1998-2001 and the percussion ensemble in 2004-2005. He also teaches instrumental music at Massapequa UFSD's summer music program. Some of Mr. Battista's performing credits include the PASIC Conference in Orlando, Florida and the NYC Day of Percussion. He has performed with John Bergamo, Ganesh Kumar and the Ethos and Talujon Percussion Ensembles. He is a member of The Long Island Symphonic Winds and regularly performs in local pits, bands and orchestras. Mr. Battista is also the lead singer of Long Island's own cover band, Chester Copperpot.
